Even though this is a Descent Database full of missions, it is not meant to compete with or replace any other established "archive" web site that hosts a database of missions. Rather, the DMDB's goal is to provide a developer-updated environment to the end-user, the gamer. An environment in which the developer can host his creation for free, display it to the community, and keep it up-to-date for everyone to see.
From the gamer's point of view, they're able to add their favorite missions to their account so as to be kept up-to-date as far as versions and release dates are concerned.
HOW TO USE THE DMDB
You DO NOT need an account to use the DMDB! From the home page you can browse through a list (sorted alphabetically) of all the missions we have in the database. Right above this list is a search input. You can search by mission name and developer name; type in a phrase to look for and press enter. Once you've found a mission you're interested in you can click on the green "mountain" icon to the right of the listing (if available) and get an immediate screenshot of the missions. Click on the listing for more details about the mission.
You DO need an account to store favorites, add missions, and rate missions! When you sign up for an account, you'll be able to browse through our database and store missions you find as favorites. Once you add a mission to your favorites list, you can see them and/or remove them in your account info screen.
